As such new discoveries in the field of macrophage and DC biology have transformed our understanding of health and diseases and moreover unveiled much needed novel therapeutic angles. We are very happy to announce the 37th edition of the European Macrophage and Dendritic cell Biology (EMDS) Meeting, to be held in Vienna.
This conference will bring together leading experts and pioneering future leaders in the field of macrophage and DC biology.
This meeting will include presentations from invited leaders and upcoming investigators, as well as many selected abstracts, poster sessions and multiple opportunities for interaction. We strongly encourage students and postdocs to participate by presenting abstracts.
The 2024 EMDS Conference will take place at Austrian’s largest non-university research and science institution, the Austrian Academy of Sciences. The main entrance of the OeAW is located at number 2 Dr. Ignaz Seipel Platz. The building is an architecturally impressive building with a long and remarkable history. Designed by Jean Nicolas de Ville-Issey and built in 1753/55, it was originally intended for the University of Vienna. In 1857 it was handed to the then “Imperial Academy of Sciences”, which Emperor Ferdinand I had founded ten years earlier. The middle of the building is formed by the festive hall with its elaborate ceiling frescos by Gregorio Guglielmi.
